The book is fascinating even if you’re not in the workforce, but if you are--you have to read this. I noticed this book quite by accident as I was wandering through my local Barnes & Noble. This book was fascinating. Honestly, I think this book if full of complete waffle.

I’m a believer that I can always learn something from any situation and that when people have taken the time to share their knowledge, perspectives, and advice with me, it’s something to appreciate. This is pop psychology and not even good pop psychology. Excellent book with lots of real life examples of how men and women differ when it comes to confidence. But, in truth, it isn’t really a good quality.

My final complaint is that the book likes to reinforce the idea that millennials are self entitled and that the old ways are what build confidence, which as a 28 year old woman I find to be insulting and demeaning. The book is a great read and highly recommended to all women! For.

I can find myself getting entirely caught up in logistics and smooth, well-executed tactics without circling back to strategy or pushing the strategy in new, better directions. Intriguing from both a workplace environment and the scientific explorations of our brain, this book has given me a new outlook on why I may do the things I do and how to overcome some areas that need improvement. But it can be maddeningly enigmatic and out of reach. Becoming aware of those random and common sentences we heard from our family and friends because of the fact of being a girl diminish our roles in the world day by day was kind of painful for me. I am also deeply suspicious of books that start off looking at lawyers, corporate CEO's and female hotshots as women we should compare ourselves to.

Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. This books is a bit fluffy but an absolute must-read for any lady out there. Why is it that so many women lack confidence? But since we are often much more eager to praise others than to accept praise for ourselves, you could try “Yes, we did an amazing job. There was a lot of overlap between this book and other books I've read and professional development experiences I've had lately, and I'm very intrigued by the interplay of our genetics and our experiences.
